ALPHA OMEGA WINERY
Alpha Omega, a boutique winery located on the Rutherford Bench in Napa, was founded in 2006 by Robin & Michelle Baggett. State-of-the art technology and natural winemaking techniques are utilized by the amazing winemaking team, Jean Hoefliger and Michel Rolland in the creation of the award-winning Alpha Omega wines.
Swiss-born, Hoefliger’s scientific training paired with his natural abilities and great knowledge blend perfectly with the talents of Master Winemaker Michel Rolland who is world-famous for his palate and his expertise.
They utilize a new vineyard system called Fruition Sciences which uses sensors to monitor vines providing information that includes sap flow, transpiration rate, brix results, and climatic data.
Normalized Difference Vegetation Index or NDVI is another tool that shows the winemakers pictures of the vineyards that help them adapt the viticulture of each block and to know when to taste and harvest at just the right time.
